Financial services to the rural population: a study on the role of retail banks in the UK
In recent years, rural areas in many countries had started showing the signs of development and growth due to easy accessibility of financial services for them. Rural population is availing many financial advantages due to the presence of microfinance institutions.
Economic growth is noticed by not only with the urban development but also with the development of rural areas.
This research study makes an effort to analyze the role played by retail banks in the development of rural areas. It identifies the sources of financial services to the rural population.
