Ambition Plus: Supporting Female Startups

Idea

For the business to be successful and effective, it is vital to have the right idea. The business is registered by the name “Ambition plus.” The idea here is to initiate a business plan by selling a service. The idea is to create a membership and networking event organized to support the female entrepreneurs need for funding. Women entrepreneurs are not being supported in the UK, like the men entrepreneurs due to the disparity created. I have decided to initiate a start-up based upon my skills and exposure to training along with consultancy. Women entrepreneurs are less in number in the UK because they lack the support system and funds to meet the crisis (FSB, 2018). My business intends to support women through funds, training, and consultancy to scale up business opportunities. My idea is to support women through services such as enhancing interpersonal skills and eliminating barriers and thus intends to start the business in Birmingham. I intend to create a large network supporting women entrepreneurs and funders by ensuring access through the management of talent. Several events will be conducted regularly so that the network service company can analyse the requirements for a start-up. The main intention of my business is to support female entrepreneurs by reducing the disparity and by improving self-belief, augment the self-perceived business skills, and improve networking. Business tends to ensure talents and funding by ensuring access between the venture capital and angel investors. The idea of my business is to create a network where the services offered in the workshop by the learning and development team will support women by building business skills and improve the self-belief that is required for the business to be of success. I plan to build a business which will aim to reduce the funding gap between female and male and help female to understand the funders. This plan is not unique but is not affecting other IPs because of the better planning and the implementation of trademarks. The key partners for the business are the learning and development teams so that women are offered the required skills at the first stage of the entrepreneurial activities.

Customers

For my new business, customers are the female trying to become entrepreneurs. Women are our customers because women-led business contributes to the economy and require support for development. The business will offer support and services by augmenting their skills through training along with improving the communicative skills so that the funds can be raised for the business. Customers are women of the UK trying to establish a business but lack confidence and funds. I intend to help the women entrepreneurs by attaining information from them about their educational background, age, and location so that my business can help them by offering them valued services. The disparity that is being faced is that women in the UK are still facing investment barriers when starting a business. The business is focusing on supporting entrepreneurial activity for women, which is 6% and 10% of men. The participation of women is estimated to improve economic contribution to about £180 bn by the year 2025 (Delloite, 2016). The business is supporting customers by offering and developing a new digital platform to create opportunities for talented female entrepreneurs. My business intends to identify the female entrepreneurs and ensure new voluntary codes so that women entrepreneurs are boosted. The service is driven to mitigate the gender investment gaps and negative impact upon the investment that is affecting the UK economy. The main factor of the business is to help customers or women intend to become strong entrepreneurs so that the position of women in the business can be improved. Going by the statistics, women just comprise of third of the entrepreneurship force in the UK. My business intends to improve the economy by extending services to these customers. Closing the gender gap tends to increase the entrepreneur space and tends to generate about £250 billion for the growth of the economy. My business is taking measures by improving female entrepreneurial skills in the first stage so that with the help of the UK government, female entrepreneurs are to be increased by 50% by the year 2030 (FSB, 2018).

Need

It is determined from the study that the services that my business intends to offer have a market because, in the UK, women entrepreneurs are not being offered the necessary support. This business has a strong market opportunity because of the increasing need for women entrepreneurs. It is important to state that the government is aiming to improve the position of women entrepreneurs by the year 2030 to about 6 00,000 from the existing number in the present. This implies that my business plan will have a strong market presence because of the changing requirement in women entrepreneurship.

The problem that is being faced is a lack of opportunity and training that is required for the management of skills. The business plan is to improve the network by managing talents so that the access to funding can be ensured through the help of this membership and networking organization. The new services will aim to improve the networking of women entrepreneurs by making them prepare to analyse the venture capitalists along with investors to attain opportunities equal to the male counterparts (You Media Story, 2020). My business intends to improve and support women in the business along with the workforce so that the economies are improved, and there are more jobs in the market. The management of the event will offer exposure to women and help them face reality and market along with exposure for better business opportunities.

The priority of the business network is to ensure durability and certainty to women so that they can attain a better position and can implement their plans for a better growth opportunity and to ensure equality. My services solve the problems by creating networks for women entrepreneurs and provide opportunities to meet the funders and showcase the plan, which is lacking in the present situation. The business intends to organize services and events for building a better ecosystem for the entrepreneurs so that the marketing of the idea can be done. This will help new entrepreneurs to get funding and networks to ensure growth opportunities (Maxwell Davies Limited, 2020). This networking will help to solve the problems, thus improve the market of my business. I plan to develop better networks, through training and also skill building to increase the chances of opportunities. There is a business that exists like mine business; therefore, the competition is less. The uniqueness is its way to approach and its ability to provide training that might be lacked by the women. This will help women to get better exposure in the market than men, along with funding. My relationship with customers will be friendly and, at the same time, professionals so that women can state their problems and attain the essential services from my new business plan. One of the competitors for my business will be WEFT, as the idea is to help eradicate the issues faced by women entrepreneurs. The main aim of my business will be to ensure sustainable development by offering 50-50 gender equality during the start-ups (Assets publishing service, 2020). The increase in the perceived biases with the UK venture finance community will have to be reduced by the business offering continuous support to women entrepreneurs.

Business model

The business model is usually effective and rationale for the business to improve its presence in the market through effective modification and innovation. The business model that I am planning to implement is the on-demand model, which is used to ensure proper growth and convenience so that the services are provided effectively. The resource that is being used is human resources, so that the process of training is effective. The process of event management and offering services requires better management of human resources (Crown, 2020). The business requires a strong talent management team so that the services offered will be effective and help the women entrepreneurs seek their position in the market. The business model will be effective as it is useful to attract customers and maintain a relationship so that women entrepreneurs are given importance. The business model ensures value proposition, which is to convince women that the business services are the best. It includes accessibility, innovation, and customization. Marketing plays a pivotal role as the business is advertising about the new business through the use of social media so that it reaches a wide customer base. Marketing is about improving the skills and augmenting better understanding so that women can attain the rights.

It is vital to note that for the business to be effective, it will be funded through the help of bank loans because the business is well planned. Proper research and evaluation of the market have been done towards the disparity that is being faced by women entrepreneurs in the UK. The funds will be taken from the bank at a specified interest rate for some time. It is expected that the loan will be amortized in five years. The selling of services for the management and well being women entrepreneurs is vital for the economic benefit (Harvard Business Review, 2015). The loan is being taken for furniture and fixtures for the workshop and to enhance the decor for comfort and greater experience. The talent management team will offer proper training; therefore, the funds are required for the proper development of the organization in Birmingham.

To ensure that the business will be effective and legal actions are taken up properly trademark will be considered upon. The start-up will have no other IP; therefore, I will focus upon the trademark to make my business effective. The risks that will be faced by the business is the lack of proper experiences and the ability to convince women to trust the new business. For the service organization to be successful, it is important that employees are well motivated; therefore, the risk is to attract the right talent so that the business will be effective in supporting the cause.

People

For the effectiveness of the business, the thought is that employees for my business will be recruited knowing proper training and development so that women are trained. The employment process will be done through the proper recruitment of employees so that the services are well managed. Recruitment will be done by conducting a proper interview and selection process. I will have a human resource team and make recruitment by a proper interview will help my business to grow in a structured manner. Women entrepreneurs will be heard, and their needs will be evaluated so that the employees can deliver the required services. The business will be structured, and the work will be done by the trainers and consultants so that women are provided with proper knowledge and understanding of the effectiveness of the business. The legal consequences are that the business will support its employees by offering proper rewards and recognition so that they are satisfied. Proper legal actions will be taken if the business is not employed as per the plan. Thus, the strategy of the business will be to market the services in an effective manner through proper communication and understanding. For the success of the business plans, the operations are well planned, and women entrepreneurs will be served with quality guidance and funds for the well being of the business. The main intention of the business will be to support entrepreneurs and offering them quality services.
