Introduction

Health and social care system, policy and practice play a crucial role in providing efficient care and support to all the individuals across the globe. NHS is efficient in this regard to serve the people across the UK where the quality standard of care and efficient treatment and care of the nurses and doctors and other health care professionals meet the expectations and preferences of the patients where they can create values for all the individuals by maintaining equality, transparency and accountability (Glasby, 2017). The aim of the study is to analyse the existing policies and practice under NHS and identify the issues for which the quality standard of care can be deteriorated. In addition to this, through this study, it is possible to review the existing issues in NHS and critically evaluate the impacts of issues so that it is easy to demonstrate the effectiveness on health and social care policy and practice within the context of global healthcare and recommend some suitable suggestions through which the issues can be mitigated and NHS can provide efficient care and health care service to all the individual equally.

It is the responsibility of the NHS to provide quality care and equal treatment to all the individual living in the UK and hereby, the existing issues must be eradicated so that the NHS can deliver quality care by improving their policies and practice of health and social care service. Through this study, it is effective to evaluate the issue sand suggest some recommendations by which the NHS can improve tehri service and mitigate the issue for better care and practice so that the leader and mangers can deliver quality health and social care service according to the health condition of the patients and their personal preferences. the current changes of digital technology, improving working in partnership, developing patient centred care are effective for the health and social care service providers and this would be valuable for mitigating the issue of health inequalities in the country, where through policy enforcement, the health care providers try to provide the efficient care and proper treatment to all the social communities as a whole.

Current changes in health and social care policy

NHS is mainly publicly funded national health care system in England in which high quality care and standard of treatment are the major success factors through which NHS aims to serve a wide range of people across the UK. The mission of NHS is to provide quality of care to every person every day and vision is to deliver better health, better care and better value. The NHS aims at creating values or all the patients through providing efficient care and treatment after proper diagnoses of the individuals where everybody can access the care of the NHS. Equality is one of major strategy of NHs, in which the leader tries to provide equal treatment to all the individuals across the UK irrespective of their cultural diversity, economic class differences and language gap so that they can contribute in the society for future growth and social development. It is hereby the responsibility of the NHS to provide equal treatment by maintaining the Equality Act as well as Non-Discrimination practice in the organisation so that every individual is treated well, and they can give equal treatment from the service providers (Westwood et al., 2015). In this regard, the policy and practice of equality and managing transparency and accountability are effective for the organisation to imporve their standard of care and efficiency of treatment. In addition to these, showing respect to the service users and understanding their values are also other practices of the NHS in which the service providers aims to creating values for them after diagnosing them properly and acknowledging their actual health needs and personal preferences (McGuire et al., 2016; Boulware et al., 2016). Respect, integrity and cooperation with the patients across the UK are the major policies of the NSH through which the leader and health and social care managers aim at maximising the values and wellbeing of the individual where the service users can access the health and social care service provided by the NHS well and they can be treated with proper care and support from the service providers (Iliffe et al., 2017). The Mental Health Act 2010 as well as Health and Social Care Act 2012 are also contributing factors in the NHS where the leader tries to follow the updated rules and legislations for managing the standard of quality care and health care system. The leader and managers of the NHS focuses on treating all the individuals across the social communities of the UK fairly and help them with efficient service and proper support where the patients can rely on the service providers and share their values and present condition of their physical and mental health (Koller et al., 2018; Brownson, Colditz, and Proctor, 2017). Additionally, managing cultural diversity as well as the latest update of electronic record keeping activities as well as technological innovation and creativity in the NHS are effective for the leader and the mangers of the NHS to improve health and wellbeing of the individuals where they can manage the patients well and enhance communication and cooperation for supporting the patients and delivering high quality care efficiently (Dickinson, and O'Flynn, 2016).

Effectiveness on health and social care policy and practice within global healthcare

Cooperative working practice needs to be developed through working in partnership strategy, developing an effective team, improving shared goals and vision so that every service provider can cooperate with each other for meeting the ultimate goal of serving the patients with acre and appropriate treatment. In addition to these the leaders must mitigate inequality and treat all the patients irrespective of their cultural diversity, language gap, differences in values and behaviour as well as types of illness that the patients are suffering from. This would be another effective suggestion for the health and social care managers to treat the issue of inequality and provide fair treatment to the all the patients with proper care and support. Health and social care policy are therefore beneficial for improving the standard of health care service within global health care service where the service providers can deliver quality acre and proper treatment to the individuals.

Reviewing the existing issues in NHS and critically evaluating the impacts of issues

The major issues in the health and social care sector are such as inequality among the service users and the challenges faced by the health and social care leaders which leads to quality issues in the NHS (Priest et al., 2015). The first issue is inequality of getting proper health and social care service form the NHS where the patients cannot access proper care and support due to lack of efficiency of the health and social care providers as well as lack of technological upgradation in which manual system and inefficiency of the staff take time to treat one patient and for this problem, there are a huge number of patient who cannot access their service at the right time. It is a serious issue, where all the patients cannot get proper care due to lack of accessibility of the health and social care service. There is lack of education in sine parts of the society, where the individuals are not concerned about the health care service and due to low literacy rate, the inequality arises (Salway et al., 2016). Lack of shelter and low income and economic status are other reasons for such inequality where the people cannot access the quality of care due to lack of knowledge about the treatment where they are not even able to interact with the service providers. Unequal distribution of income, lack of knowledge of the individuals, poverty, migration of the workforce and discrimination in the society further raises the issue of inequality which is a serious problem in the health and social care system for which the NHS fails to imporve

social welfare as a whole (Iganski, and Mason, 2018). For example, there is inequality and discrimination in case of mental health issues where the service providers cannot handle the mentally ill patients with care and treat them properly. This ill lead toward unequal treatment where lack of management and transparency leads the patients towards a bad experience, and they fail to improve their wellbeing and create values by overcoming their mental and physical health issues (Exworthy, Powell, and Glasby, 2017).
Additionally, it is challenging for the leaders to handle the health care outcomes of which they fail to manage the quality standard of care and treat the patients with proper treatment efficiently. In this regard, the leaders face the problem of lack of communication and cooperation for which the health and social care professionals fail to treat the patients with care. In this regard, por communication and lack of cooperation among the health and social care professionals leads por quality management where the patients cannot get proper treatment and support from the health and social acre service providers (Bailey, Mutale, and Holland, 2018). Lack of practice of working in partnership is also another challenging factor for the leader in the NHS where the employees cannot work collaboratively with shared goals due to cultural diversity at the workplace, internal conflicts and misunderstanding which also deteriorate the quality of care and treatment for the mental and physically ill patients in the NHS complexity on the organisational structure as well as poor leadership and management style further raise the issue of managing the quality of health and social care service in the NHS (Garg, Boynton-Jarrett, and Dworkin, 2016). The leader and the managers fail to arrange training and development program for the employees, staff and nurses for which the efficiency and technical skill of them cannot be improved (Humphries, 2015; Stoddart, and Evans, 2017). Lack of innovation, technological upgradation and implementation of cloud computing leads the health and social care system towards poor quality where the patients cannot access the publicly funded health care service successfully (Greener, Cameron, and Party, 2015; Lewin et al., 2015).

Impact of healthcare inequalities on development of policies and practice

The above mentioned issues are serious for the health and social care service of the NHS where the NHS fail to meet the requirements of the individual living in the society. Equality cannot be mentioned well in the NHS wand the patients cannot overcome their present health and mental issue for which social development cannot be possible. in addition to this, poor quality of health and social care service, discrimination and lack of equality in providing the quality health and social care service deteriorates the values for the NHS across the UK (Green, and Thorogood, 2017). The NHS aims at creating values for the individuals but due to the above mentioned issues, it fails to create values and enhance the wellbeing of the individuals by providing equal treatment and efficient care to all the individuals living in the society. Apart from that, lack of innovation and technological development, the NHS fails to meet the quality standard of their treatment where they fail to manage their patients due to lack technological implementation as well as they cannot enhance communication through which the patients and internal staff can be handled well. Hereby, it is difficult for the NHS to provide quality care and improve wellbeing of the individuals without mitigating the above mentioned issues through developing effective policies and practice in the SH so that it can fulfil its mission and vision (Allsop, 2018).

Effect of inter-professional working protocols on delivery of health and social care policies

The leaders need to be transparent and manage the employees at the NHS efficiently with proper communication and interaction, this is effective for encouraging the employees and improve unity among them where they aim at providing better are the individuals and developing inter professional working protocols for delivering efficient health and social care service. Empowering the employees in the care plan of the patients and organisational decisions making practice is another important strategy through which the leader can mitigate leadership challenge and develop suitable working environment to work properly with proper cooperation and communication. It is essential for the leader and managers of the NHS to improve their policies and practice and promote health care service in the society so that everybody can be well knowledgeable about the access of health care and access the right treatment and benefits from the NHS. Hereby, health promotion is also necessary for the leader to reduce health inequalities and treat all the patients with care.

Key recommendations for resolving the issues

The above mentioned issues need to be resolved by NHS through which it can provide better health care outcomes and serve better care and support to the individuals across the social communities of the England. The leaders and mangers need to manage transparency and accountability in the NHS in which all the patients are treated well. The computerised system dn could computing needs to be developed for managing patient’s record and their personal data safely. this would be effective for managing the patients properly and handle them within effective time. implementing Equality Act and non-discriminatory policies and practice are also required to be implemented as well as the leaders and managers must focus on the quality of management. Implementing cloud computing would be effective for the NHS through which the computerised system will manage the patients and the patients also can access their service within adequate timing. In addition to these, the implementation of Information and Communication technology (ICT) is also necessary in the NHS as there is crucial impacts of using ICT on the health and social care system. Hereby, enhancing cooperation, managing the patient’s record and interacting with the patient can be possible through the implementation of the ICT system in the health and social care settings of the NHS. Apart from that, the leader needs to arrange appropriate training and development program for all the staff, nurses and social workers so that they can improve their knowledge and technical skill to handle the patients with quality care and efficient treatment. This is also another effective way to promote wellbeing of the individuals which is the main mission of the NHS. moreover, training and development program would also be essential for encouraging the staff members and improving cooperation among them where they can interact with each other and collaborate for better health and social care outcomes. Managing accountability and transparency, implementing the ICT in the NHS as well as increasing the computerised system for big data analysis as well as recruiting efficient staff and the technological innovations and creativity will be effective planning for the NHS to enhance their values and improve wellbeing of the individuals.

Conclusion

It can be concluded that, NHS recently faces the problem of inequality and leadership challenges which deteriorate the quality standard of the organisation in providing proper care and efficient treatment to the individuals across the England. It is the responsibility of the NHS to mitigate the issues a promote health care service in the UK so that everybody can access the health and social care service of the NHS. the planning of Improving transparency and accountability, health promotion, implementing ICT, enhancing cloud computing, managing patient’s record, managing diversity and equality, providing access of health care to all the patients, improving quality standard of care, empowering staff, nurses and social workers in the decision of NHS, improving leadership style with cooperation, developing team work, and enhancing communication would be effective for the NHS to overcome the existing issues and improving the patient’s care successfully. Through the above mentioned action plan, it is posisbel to improve trust and loyalty as well as promote health care service in the UK where the patients ca access the efficient treatment and quality care and overcome their issues where the NHS would become efficient in taking care of the individuals and creating values for them by delivering better health and social care system.

Critical reflection

rom this study, it has been that, leadership and management play a crucial role in developing proper practice and policies in the health and social care service. I try to gather knowledge and understanding about the policies and practice of health and social care in which it can be stated that cooperation and communication is necessary for integrated working practice and as health and social care service is a complex task form the health care providers and social workers, it is necessary for all the staff members to work as a team with shared goals and vision so that the ultimate vision and mission of the company can be achieved. Working as a team will help me to imporve my cooperation, sharing my ideas with others and working as partnership working practice. The health and social care policies and practice for managing quality standard of care and supporting the patients will also be helpful for me to develop my professional skills. In addition to these, in this study, it can be seen that, the health and social care service sector is facing he problem of maintaining equality and leadership change for which the quality of care and standard of treatment are hampered. I try to develop my technical skill and knowledge in managing health and social care through which it is possible for me to develop effective action plan for resolving the issues and operate the health and social care service successfully, where I can serve better care and practice to the patients after proper diagnoses of the patients. It is necessary ibn the recent years to utilised latest innovative technology for more creativity in the health and social acre setting and un this regard I try to develop my technical skill for cloud computing as well as big data analysis for managing the patients with care so that every patients can access the health and social care service for creating their values and improving wellbeing. The areas of research is therefore beneficial for me to develop my own understanding and decision making skill to improve leadership skill and communication where I can develop a strong team with health professionals and social workers for serving the patients by maintaining equality and non-discriminatory policies and practice so that every individuals living in the society can access the health and social care service according to the health and mental illness as well as personal preferences. Through this study, it can also be possible to imporve my problem solving and critical analysis skill where I try to analyse the existing issues for the NHS as well as recommend some suitable suggestions for the organisation by utilising my problem solving skill that would also be effective for my professionals development. I try to improve my Leadership Skill, Competency Skill, and Communication Skill through which I will be able to handle the health care outcomes and manage the health and social care practice and policies for delivering quality health and social care service to all the individuals living in the society without inequality and discrimination so that they can maximise their values and wellbeing.
