Introduction

In this study, evaluating the internal environment of Vista Residential Care home which is situated in the London Borough of Hillington. The main issue in this residential care home is related to hygiene where the residents cannot get proper service and safety in the home due to unhygienic place inside the home. In this care home, there are 40 residents and 50% of them is suffering from dementia. Unhygienic place, lack of monitoring and reviewing the internal environment of the care home and inefficient staff members are the major issues in the care home where the staff members fail to provide quality health and social care to the residents.

It is necessary for the health and social care managers to implement the Health and safety at Work Act 1974 which indicates that it is the responsibility of the employer to manage the staff members and employees in the workplace by providing safety and security to the employees (Aveyard, 2014). In this regard, the management team of Vista Residential Care home needs to implement Health and Safety at Workplace 1974 in order to manage the residents in the floor and provide them neat and clean place to stay safe and secure. Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and Health and Safety Regulations 1981 are also effective to develop effective practice and procedure to save the residents and provide them effective social care service and safe environment to live. Additionally, The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulation 1992 and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 are also beneficial to maintain the residential care home, Vista Residential where the residents can get safe place to live longer. the main issue of the Vista Residential Care home is related to lack of neat and clean and poor health and social care management and it is necessary for the residential care home to manage the workplace and provide efficient service to the residents.
