In this study, the systematic review of literature , also called a literature review dissertation help, will be executed in collecting the data required for the study. This is because the process helps in identifying and evaluating the existing data present regarding the topic from valid articles and journals to be presented in the form to a summary in answering the raised question. Moreover, the process is cost-effective and time-effective along with contributing towards forming an evidence-based practice that ensure better quality care to be delivered to individuals (Levett-Jones et al., 2019).
The electronic search strategy will be used in gathering information for the study. This is because the electronic search helps in saving money along with avoids wastage of time invested such as in physical search where identifying key facts requires increased time. This process also avoids facing geographical barriers in gathering evidence for the study. It allows free gathering of data from the wide number of sources that are internationally available (Fealy et al., 2019). The platform to be used in executing the search will be CINHAL. This is because CINHAL is considered as a good source of medical and nursing qualitative as well as quantitative articles which can be used in resolving varied problems identified regarding any topic (ebsco, 2021).
The keywords to be used in executing the search will be “low-calorie diet”, “adult obesity”, “obese”. “overweight”, “weight” and others. The low-calorie diet is referred to as the diet which supports consumption of 800-1500 calories per day (Correa et al., 2021). Adult obesity indicates obese people who are over the age of 18 years and in this study, the overweight people are also to be included on the age as they are considered to be at risk for obesity. The Boolean operators to be used are AND and OR so that the search terms can be linked effectively with one another in framing an enhanced study.
The inclusion and exclusion criteria are essential for the study to determine the key factors to be considered and avoided in framing seamless study with enhanced results that are error free. The articles published on and after 2015 will be included as they contain most updated information regarding the study topic that are supported through advanced scientific experimentations and new logic developed through advanced research. The articles published before 2015 will not be used because they may contain backdated information that is currently advanced through improve experimentation and thus their inclusion would lead to error in the study due to which they are to be excluded. The articles written in English will be included as the researcher contains knowledge regarding English and lack of understanding of other languages to effectively derive data from the existing source in framing the current study. The articles which are fully accessible will be included and with abstract is to be excluded because full-text articles help the researcher to develop idea regarding the details of the results represented which helps them in analysing the information in critical way to be presented in the current study.
The articles which contain information regarding low-calorie diet for obese and overweight individuals (adults) will be included and other excluded. The low-calorie diets are to be used as meal replacement and not as regular diet in the study. The adults of 24-55 years will be considered for the study who are either at risk of obesity or obese. The articles which are academic in nature will be included as they contain data which are proved through scientific and logical explanation with adequate supportive references to ensure their credibility and reliability. The articles which are non-academic will not be included as they contain information which mainly descriptive with lack of explanation regarding the way they are gathered to ensure their credibility on the study. The articles containing primary data will be included as they provide opportunity to the researcher to analyse the data provided by previous participants directly rather than interpreted data presented from the perception of the other researchers. The study containing secondary data will also be included because it would help in explaining the qualitative data gathered from primary articles.
In quality assessment of the articles, the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool will be used. This tool is mainly used for high proportion of review of articles to determine the risk in their selection for inclusion in the study (Munder and Barth, 2018). It assists in examining the risk of any bias in the randomised control studies in Cochrane reviews to determine if the article is valuable to be included in the study.
The ethical consideration in the study is to be effectively followed so that moral and legal way of data collection and execution of research is established (Koskenvuori et al., 2019). In order to main ethical consideration, the facts to be shared from existing evidence piece are to be paraphrased as well as referenced with the name of the original author and year of publication. This is to inform the source from which the data is accessed while respecting the original author without making them feel their work is stolen. In the study, no personal data of the previous participants are to be mentioned if they are informed in an unethical manner in the studies. However, in case the data are important and presented with ethical consent from participants in the study will then only be included in the current research. The data gathered from previous articles are not to be manipulated by the personal beliefs and emotions of the researcher. The authenticity of the information is tried to be maintained under all consideration to avoid ethical error arising in the study.
