First, theology involves preparing people for religious leadership. Learning to lead great congregations requires practical skills, theological understanding, and creative thinking. Moreover, theology is practical because it deals with basic human issues. The church's increased complexity and mission work call for additional expertise, which is achieved via theology. With religion such as Christianity being a global faith with believers evenly distributed across the continents, Missions are committed to understanding and supporting the global Christian community. Also, theologians are trained to conduct theological research that explains what the Bible says and what it means. Furthermore, theology is directly prophetic in the Church. They can easily detect unfaithfulness, blindness, sin, and unbelief and warn of impending disaster. Thus, these theologians are active prophets who seek to change the church. Therefore, theology has practical application in religion.

Besides, due to the intense theological, historical and biblical understanding, theologians often understand the Bible better. For example, they can define who is a sinner and who is a saint. Likewise, Theology helps us recognize God in life’s boundary situations and the center of every occurrence, which means that theology is vital to spirituality. More importantly, theological research is becoming critical, especially in understanding Christian values and achieving the call of Holiness. The research promotes religion, gospel, faith, and teachings. Through these teachings, people are able to develop their faith and fulfill the call to Holiness and apostolate. More importantly, theology has a strategic prophetic role in the Church. Through history and bible knowledge, theologians can point out some of the most dangerous blindnesses, sin, and unbelief in the church and warn before it is too late. Lastly, theology makes praying as easy. Therefore, theology has practical application in religion (Christianity), especially helping people understand God and living holy lives.

Since theology is rooted in philosophy and historical context, theologians do not shy away from difficult truths while in the ministry. This forms a great part of theological studies' application in the field. For example, due to the deep knowledge in philosophy, theologians help people answer challenging life’s questions regarding meaning in life, where they are going, and what they are doing on earth. Also, theologians are taught to demonstrate and exercise critical thinking, clear writing skills, problem-solving, and the ability to analyze historical and social trends, thus reflecting on issues of religious ethics and analyzing arguments for the existence of the divine. Therefore, theologians apply knowledge and skills gained in studies in influencing individuals in the church and analyzing arguments concerning divinity regardless of the debate.

Similarly, the intense studies in theology are critical in helping the community understand what God means when he demands a life of Holiness. For example, research in theology is critical in understanding the Old Testament and the link to the New Testament. Jesus Christ in the New Testament focused on showing the moral and ethical behavior that defined the acts of being clean and unclean. Therefore, theologians do a great job, especially in linking the Old Testament and New Testament, improving people's lives, and living holy lives. Likewise, theological research help contributes to the communication of faith and creating an appealing understanding to the individual who has not yet received Christ in their lives. Therefore, theology is very critical in pulling non-Christians to seek and find faith in Jesus. This means that theologians have a key task of creating the revelation's understanding and meaning and pulling more people to religion through their research.

Furthermore, theology plays a critical and direct prophetic role in the Church. Paul, the preacher/theologian, often reflected this great role in most of his teaching. Studies show that every age has some blindness, and no one is conscious since the blindness is so widespread that they are normalized. These sins are knit into the very texture of the church. Therefore, with a greater understanding of theology, history, and God, theologians can scan life and faith in all directions and act as a watchtower. They are able to detect these unfaithfulness, blindness, sin, unbelief easily and give warning before a disaster occurs. Therefore, these theologians have an active prophetic role, particularly in detecting and bring change to the church.
